Douglas DC-3 75th Anniversary Book
Henry Holden and Allen Campbell, renowned Douglas DC-3 historians and members of the DC-3/Dakota Historical Society, are planning the latest and most definitive work to date on the Douglas DC-3 Dakota.
They believe that to make this book the most definitive work, they will need to add stories and photographs of DC-3 aviation history from around the world and most importantly from the brilliant flying abilities of pilots in Southern Africa. The stories from and about Southern Africa DC-3 operations will be carried under the byline of the individual authors.
Allen and Henry are seeking, not only from South Africa but from all corners of the globe, stories, photographs and information relating to the venerable DC-3 Dakota.
The Douglas DC-3 will celebrate her 75th anniversary on Friday 17 December 2010 and the book is planned to be published in time for this prestigious event.
